He died on 17 July 1996 in East Moriches, New York, USA.- The sister of comic book writer Geoff Johns, the creator and showrunner of the TV show "Stargirl". She died, while still a teenager, in the explosion and crash of TWA 800, which went down off the coast of New York, on July 17, 1996, killing all 230 people on board. Geoff based the character "Stargirl" on his sister, giving her the same first name.
